Our History

Part of our global Foursquare Family

Harvest Church became a chartered church with the Foursquare Gospel Church of Canada in 1984. For more than 40 years, the church has been a place of hope for many, and has reached out to the city of Nanaimo, and around the world with the love of God. We plan to continue our mission of loving God and loving others as we move forward with all God is calling us to.

Harvest Church is a Bible-centered community committed to faithful teaching and solid biblical exegesis. We believe the Scriptures are the inspired Word of God and seek to interpret and apply them with care, clarity, and integrity, allowing God’s truth to shape our lives and mission. As part of the Foursquare Church, we are rooted in a global family of churches that share a historic, evangelical Christian faith focused on Jesus Christ as Saviour, Baptizer with the Holy Spirit, Healer, and Coming King.

Our Purpose

Molding believers, influencing the world

At Harvest Church, our values begin with loving God first—wholeheartedly and faithfully. We seek to honour Him and His Word in all that we do, worshipping Him with our lives as well as our voices. From this primary commitment flows our second priority: loving others. We desire to be an authentic community that loves people genuinely and well, reflecting the grace and truth of Jesus. We live this out through our worship services, local outreach, and life together in home groups. We also place a strong priority on investing in the next generation through vibrant kids and youth ministries, believing they are a vital part of God’s work in our church and our world.
