What to expect

First Time?

Walking into a new place and seeing a bunch of new faces can be intimidating! Take that step, and we’ll do our best to make you feel welcome and included.

Before You Attend

  • People of all ages and stages of life attend Harvest! You are welcome.
  • Know how to get here: Harvest Church, 6553 Portsmouth Road, Nanaimo, BC
  • Sunday service starts at 10:00 am (Come a little early, we start serving coffee and treats at 9:30 am)

What to Expect

Find a parking spot and enter through the main doors. You’ll be greeted by a member of our Connection Team.

Have kids?  At the far end of the lobby is our Kid’s Check-in Desk. If it’s your first time, you’ll need to complete a registration form for each child. If you’re returning, please use the self check-in kiosk. Kids will stay with you through the first part of the service, and will be dismissed part way through.

Find a seat in the auditorium. The service starts at 10am. In our church services, we will spend time worshipping God through music and receive a message from the Bible. We encourage everyone to come prepared to hear from the Lord, and leave encouraged for the week ahead. Once a month we share in communion, a practice for Christians by which we remember Jesus’ death on the cross. It’s common to have other elements in a service as well (i.e. water baptism, child dedication, etc.).

We are a friendly church, so you can expect to be greeted by other people in the church before or after the service.

After the service, we serve coffee, tea, and baked goods so you can stay and connect with others
