This Sunday’s message continues our Advent journey with the theme of love, following the path of God’s love from the manger, to the cross, and now to the church. As we study 1 John 4:7–12, we’ll see that love isn’t just something God does, it’s who He is. At Christmas, God made His love visible by sending His Son into the world; at the cross, that love paid the full price for our sin through Jesus’ sacrifice; and now, that same love is meant to shine out through us. Pastor Lizzy will invite us to reflect on where God’s love is going now and encourage us, as the church, to be a living lampstand; letting the love that came down and paid the price shine brightly through our lives.
